The Korean war

Short Introduction
The Korean War started 5 years after World War 2 in 1950. The war started on June 25th of 1950 when 7500 soldiers from the Koreans People's Army crossed the 38th parallel and launched an offensive against South Korea. This invasion was the first military action of the cold war and roughly 5 million soldiers and civilians lost their lives during the war. The war lasted 3 years when finally on the 27th of July, an agreement of an armistice was reached and signed. 21 nations committed troops to defend South Korea, including nations such as America and Australia, while China lent troops to North Korea.
